easysnowdata.plotting.add_basemap(ax: Any, crs: Any, basemap: Any = True, **kwargs: Any) → None

Draw web tiles under the data on ax (contextily), warped to crs.

basemap is True for DEFAULT_BASEMAP, a dotted xyzservices name such as "CartoDB.Positron" or "Esri.WorldImagery", or a provider object. The tiles are fetched at call time, so this needs the network, and it is off by default for rasters (which cover the axes anyway) and on for points().
