How long until a Sentinel-1 acquisition is downloadable?

Loading measurements…

Latency = hours from sensing start until this repo's hourly poller first found the granule at the source (±1 h). Not-yet-seen granules are right-censored, not dropped; quantiles come from a Kaplan–Meier curve. "—" means the curve has not reached that quantile yet.

Cumulative availability

Fraction of acquisitions downloadable by t hours after sensing (Kaplan–Meier; log time axis). Hover for values.

Trend: monthly median latency

Median of each sensing month's Kaplan–Meier curve, per source. Months with fewer than 20 sightings are omitted.

By platform and month

Every stratum with its sample size; the view behind the charts.

Latest granules (last 24 h)

Granules sighted anywhere in the last 24 hours, and where they have arrived. Cells are hours after sensing; "…" = not yet seen.

Provider timestamps vs first seen

Each provider's own timestamp is recorded as a cross-check only. Positive = our poller saw it after the provider's timestamp. See docs/sources.md.

OPERA: first burst vs last burst

OPERA products are per burst. The headline number is the first burst of an acquisition; this is when the last new burst arrived (counted once no new burst has appeared for 24 h).

Poller health

Each source fails independently. A source failing for more than 24 h fails the hourly job.

Definitions and caveats

Tracking universe
Every IW GRDH and IW SLC product ESA's Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem publishes (the _COG duplicates excluded). Other sources are checked for those exact granules by identifier; nothing is sampled.
Available
The first hourly poll that finds the granule at that source. One definition for every source, accurate to about ±1 h. A source faster than CDSE cannot be distinguished from CDSE.
Censoring and timeouts
A granule not yet seen is right-censored at its last check. After the timeout (14 days by default) it counts as not delivered, and "% not delivered" is 1 − F(timeout); it is shown only once some granules have been followed that long.
Partial-coverage sources
Planetary Computer and OPERA do not cover every acquisition. For them, only granules in orbit cells (track × 1-minute along-orbit bin) where the source has delivered at least once are counted.
Excluded rows
Granules first listed long after CDSE published them (the first run, or after an outage) and sightings that followed a poller gap of more than 3 h are excluded from the statistics; the counts are in the summary table's tooltip.
Not measured
Fewer than 20 sightings. No number is ever taken from documentation.
